Alan Dean founded ACE19 - established as part of The Academy for Chief Executives, with the idea of bringing together like-minded and growth-focused CEO's in the North West to support, learn and help each other on the road to business success.
When the global recession hit in 2008, it tested everyone - including us. But we stayed focused, supported our members, and came through stronger, more connected, and ready to lead in new ways.
Mark Fuller succeeded Alan Dean as Chairman of ACE19. Drawing on his extensive experience running multiple successful businesses, Mark brings strong, visionary leadership to guide the ongoing growth and success of our group.
Brexit brought uncertainty and disruption across industries and borders. Through it all, we helped our community stay informed, adaptable, and ahead of the curve - turning challenge into opportunity.
The Academy for Chief Executives was acquired by Vistage, so as part of a bold move to broaden our reach and deepen our impact, we evolved from ACE19 into Vistage - enabling us to grow beyond our original network and embrace diverse voices and new perspectives.
When COVID hit, uncertainty was everywhere. But under Mark’s steady leadership, we stayed connected, adapted fast, and supported each other. While many struggled, our group - and our businesses - not only endured but thrived.
We’re proud to be celebrating 25 years of growth and resilience with a new name - Progressive Leaders - which truly reflects the spirit and ambition of our group. With longtime members Graham Whiley and Jed Hassid supporting Mark, we’re navigating ongoing economic uncertainty with confidence and renewed energy - ready to guide our community into the future.
